Our mission

To elevate the breed standard by maintaining a centralized, vetted directory of ethical Cane Corso breeders, certified trainers, and breed-specific rescues. We bridge the gap between high-quality professionals and responsible owners to ensure the legacy of the Italian Mastiff.

Our vision

To be the premier national authority for the Cane Corso community, where education and responsible ownership eliminate breed stigma and promote lifelong success for every dog and handler.

Founder’s Tip: The "Work" in Working Dog

A tired Corso is a good Corso. These dogs were bred to guard property, hunt large game, and work alongside their families. Without a job to do—whether that's obedience training, agility, scent work, or simply structured daily routines—they will find their own "work," which usually involves remodeling your furniture.

Invest in professional training early. The foundation you build in the first year will dictate the quality of the next ten.

Meet the Founder

Leading the National Cane Corso Community

My journey with this incredible breed is rooted in a commitment to excellence and breed advocacy. As the founder of the Cane Corso Club, my goal is to simplify the search for quality care and ethical breeding.

My personal experience raising my own pack—Gus and Mia—taught me the vital importance of sourcing from reputable programs like Maximos Kennels and Fortuna Kennels. This firsthand experience driving across state lines to find the right professionals inspired the creation of this national hub. I am dedicated to ensuring that every enthusiast has access to the same elite resources, regardless of their location.

Beyond the Stereotype: National Breed Education

Changing the Narrative Through Responsible Ownership

Education Over Assumptions

The Cane Corso is often misunderstood. Our club focuses on providing accurate data on Cane Corso temperament, working dog requirements, and guardian breed socialization. By focusing on education over assumptions, we help prospective owners decide if this powerful Italian Mastiff is the right fit for their lifestyle.

Understanding the Breed
  • Highly Sensitive: Despite their tough exterior, Corsos are deeply attuned to their owner's emotions and tone of voice.

  • Velcro Dogs: They prefer to be in the same room as their family, often leaning against your legs for physical contact.

  • Discriminating Guardians: A well-socialized Corso is aloof but accepting of strangers, reserving their protective instincts for genuine threats.

Our Vetting Standards

Not every professional makes it into our directory. To maintain our status as a trusted national resource, we vet our partners based on:
  • Ethical Breeding Practices: Health testing and temperament focus.

  • Proven Results: Trainers with experience in large, dominant breeds.

  • Rescue Integrity: Non-profit status and breed-specific dedication.
